Concrete in the forest.

Last week I made a walk through the forest of Staelduinen. During the second world war the Germans build load of bunkers in this beautiful dune reserve. Nowadays the bunkers are home for preserved bats. Walking through the forest seeing the shapes and textures of these concrete blocks between the trees made me think of the Brion family grave designed by Carlo Scarpa.
